Biosystems Modeling
We are a leader nationally and internationally in the development of models and methods for predicting the behavior of radionuclides and chemicals in the body, assessing the health effects of environmental hazards, and determining the exposure-dose relationships for environmental pollutants. Our work has been a key resource to the medical community in providing the basis for dose estimates in nuclear medicine. Our tools and skills are also applicable to the areas of occupational health and safety, public health and safety, radiation protection, environmental dosimetry, and battlefield effects. Our technology base includes mathematical modeling, bone dosimetry, phantom development, and neutron dosimetry.
